Read the care offer without guessing

Use a care word to narrow the list. Words can blur. These do not mean the same thing.

Plain-language terms are ready.

Peptide

A small string of the building blocks that proteins are also made of. Calling something a peptide tells you nothing about its approval status or its quality.

FDA-approved

The Food and Drug Administration reviewed this exact product for a stated use.

Compounded medicine

This is medicine made by a pharmacy or clinician for a patient. It does not come as a finished drug-company product. As of September 2026, compounded medicine is not FDA-approved.note

Regular compounding pharmacy (“503A”)

Under federal law as of September 2026, section 503A applies to an ordinary pharmacy preparing a medicine for a single, named patient. The name 503A is just the number of that section of the law. Each preparation serves that one person and requires a valid prescription.note

Large batch facility (“503B outsourcing facility”)

Under federal law as of September 2026, an outsourcing facility under section 503B may produce sterile medicine in batches, frequently supplying clinics and hospitals. No prescription for a named patient is required before a batch is made. That does not change your side: selling you a prescription medicine without a prescription is still against the law.note

Telehealth

Care by video, phone, or messages when the patient and clinician are apart.

Pituitary

A small gland under the brain. Sermorelin sends it a signal to release growth hormone.

IGF-1

Short for insulin-like growth factor 1. The body makes more of it when growth hormone rises, so sermorelin studies measured it as a sign that growth hormone was working.
